PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APPLICATION PROVIDED BY US. BY ACCESSING OR USING OUR APPLICATION (OTHER THAN TO READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY FOR THE FIRST TIME), YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY. We are pleased to offer you access to this mobile application Ring Around (the "Application"). Your use of the Application is subject to the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy and any other terms we may provide you with.

 

1- General

We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. Through our Ring Around brand, we provide consumers with various products and services that let you stay connected to the ones you love.

This Ring Around Privacy Policy (the “policy”) sets forth our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and sharing of your personal information. We also explain the steps we take to protect your information and how we can limit the collection, use and sharing of your information.

This Policy applies to users of the Ring Around calling application for voice and messaging services.

 

2- Information that you provide to us directly 

  • Your Account Information

You must provide your phone number to create a Ring Around App account. If you do not provide us with this information, you will not be able to create an account to use our service.

  • Your messages

In the case of both in app and ordinary short messages (SMS), we do not retain your messages on our servers. Instead, your messages are stored on your device. When a message is sent from one device to another, our server directs the message to the recipient mobile number and promptly deleted from our server once the message is delivered. If a message fails to deliver you will be notified of the failure and the message is then promptly deleted from our server.

  • Your connections:

When you download the application, we ask you for permission to access your contact list. This is so that we can identify those phone numbers who have the app installed and where  you can enjoy free calling and messaging within the application. If any of your contacts are not yet using our Services we will manage this information for you in a way that ensures those contacts cannot be identified by us.

  • Customer support and other communications

When you contact us for customer support or to request information,  you may send your message via email to support@ringaroundapp.com or by calling us at +1-908-975-9036. When contacting us, to identify your account, we will need to receive your mobile phone number to identify your account. In addition, you may include the details of why you are contacting us and give us permission to review your account. You also give us permission to contact you regarding your inquiry by email and/or phone with a response to your request. All our communication with you will remain confidential and will only be specific to the inquiry that you made.

 

3- What personal information of users do we collect?

To allow you to use our application we need your Mobile number information. We also verify the IP address from where the downloading of the app is taking place. If the mobile number and the associated IP address are not from the same geographic area, downloading of the application will be stopped. This is to minimize fraud and unlawful use of the application. Once the IP address and the mobile number geographic location are cross referenced, the account will be set up. In addition:

  • If you give us permission to access your contact list, what do we do with this information?

You need to give permission to allow Contact List access so that we can identify and show you common app users. The benefits of common app users is that interaction in between those who have the application is free for both voice and messaging services. To identify those common app users, your contact list is uploaded to our server.

  • What we do with the information collected?

Your phone number will only be used to send you a PIN Code to activate your application and, periodically, to inform you of updated product features via an in-app push notification.

  • Do we keep the information confidential?

Yes, we maintain the confidentiality of all information collected by us. We never share any information of service providers or end customers with any third-party organization.

  • Do we re-use or sell collected data?

No, we never re-use any data that has been collected. We do not resell any of our database.

 

4- Phone Book Contacts:

When you use our Mobile app, we collect and store information about your contacts in your contact list, if you give us permission to access the contact list on your device. You need to allow contact list access so that we can list the contacts within the app and identify the common app users so that you can interact for free by using the voice or messaging features. To manage the common app users, we shall upload your contact list to our server.

How do we use the Contact List?

We display the contact list in our app from your contact list and give the option to make calls or send Instant Messages to a contact number.

 

5- Sharing Your Information

We share certain information about you with the companies we engage with to facilitate our service, perform service-related functions, and/or provide the service on our behalf. Transfer of your information if Ring Around is involved in a merger, acquisition, divestiture, consolidation, reorganization, asset sale or bankruptcy.

 

6- Application Side Change

We have included our privacy policy details within our application and it can be found on our “More Information” page that is identified by “…” on our application. The same information is also found on our website at www.ringaroundapp.com

 

7- Security

All collected information is stored on our own restricted database servers. We limit access to this information to authorized employees who need to know that information to operate, develop or improve our application. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

 

8- Use of Collected User Information

We use the collected information solely for the purpose of tracking bugs, improving the Application functionality, and enhancing user experience.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

 

9- Children

While the Application may be used by children, it is not intended to be used by children, without involvement, supervision, and approval of a parent or legal guardian. Ring Around does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 without parental approval. In the event you become aware that an individual under the age of 13 has used the Application without parental permission, please advise us immediately.

 

10- Privacy Policy Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. The date of the last modification will be posted at the top of the policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes as the changes will be binding to you. Any such modifications to this policy will be effective when we post the updated Privacy policy. You understand and agree that your continued access to our service after any posted modification to the Privacy Policy indicates your acceptance of those modifications.
